Kafka
A streaming platform that stores large volumes of events in order and lets multiple services read them in parallel.

You choose the mode at install time. With a single server, kafka is enough.

RabbitMQ
A message broker that puts jobs in queues and processes them. It includes a management UI. It is installed as a single node.
